Interested in joining Hermanos Unidos (HU)? If so, please read our history – get to know a little more about Hermanos Unidos at UC Santa Barbara.  Hermanos Unidos, in a nut shell, is a non-fraternal brotherhood that strives to create a positive “hermandad” through its member common roots.  Take a look at our guestbook; many of the pictures uploaded were from events held in past years.  These will give you an idea of the types of memorable events you will be involved with if you decide to become a part of Hermanos Unidos.  You will be able to build an extensive professional network and a lasting brotherhood with past HU members and current undergraduate Hermanos.  Lastly, it does not cost anything to be part of HU.  But, if you decide to make Hermanos Unidos part of your undergraduate career, we do ask that you consider paying a small annual donation to the organization.  The dues for the academic year 2008-09 are $75 for the year or $30 per quarter.  This contribution will enable our organization purchase materials like HU quarter shirts, food for events, retreats, etc. Best of all, once dues are paid you will recieve a free t-shirt at the end of every quarter as well as discounts to many of the social events held throughout the year, be able to run for a steering committe position and voting rights at the end of the year. Lastly, please be sure to show up to one or all of our welcome week events and our weekly Wednesday meetings in the State Street room in the UCen at 6:00pm. These meetings are a break from school, work, and a busy life. Come relax and meet new people.
